Next Festival Fashion - Moodboard Competition

Last week I was delighted when checking my emails to find out I had won a festival moodboard competition on Next’s blogger network. When entering my blog post I didn’t think I had a cat in hells chance of winning; especially compared to the other great entries! You can see my entry post ‘MyNext Festival Look – Creamfields Clobber’ Here and on the Next Blogger Network. I would love to say a big thank you to Next for selecting me, it’s made me feel like my blogging efforts are heading in the right direction!

If you’re not already a part of the Next blogger network I would recommend signing up; it’s such a great way to find new blogs and Next’s noticeboard is a lovely source of inspiration. For my blog post, the lovely team at Next granted me a £100 spending spree at Next.co.uk which is the basis of this post.

Funnily enough, the new Next catalogue arrived on the same day, crammed with new AW stock! The countless lovely new styles and pieces had me spoilt for choice in addition to Next’s recently launched summer sale! You can check out their new Autumn Winter collection here (I know Autumn seems a while off, especially in this heat but the clothes are so worth having a nosey at) I wittled down the items I loved to: PU Sleeve Biker Jacket and Long SleeveLace Top from the AW collection and Geisha Shoes from the Next Sale which I cannot give you a link for but you can find them on Next's website and in store subject to remaining stock!

I usually shy away from lace detail as I often find it can easily make an outfit look tacky but the intricate lace pattern on the long sleeve top I think is gorgeous and gives off a sophiticated art deco nature. The biker jacket will undoubtedly be my staple AW coat/jacket. I've always been very picky when it comes to coats and jackets but this one ticks all the boxes; warm, comfy, great quality and a timeless style! Last but not least, the shoes are perfect for me; I love flatform style wedges as they are a perfect mediation between function/comfort and aesthetics. You can never go wrong with tan coloured accessories and footwear in my book either!
I absolutely love the items and will definitely get a lot of wear out of them (probably not at present given the out of character gorgeous UK climate at the moment) but thank you very much again to Next!
