This will be my last post for a short while as I'm visiting family and it's my birthday tomorrow! Always excited for birthdays but I don't want to turn 19 I feel so old! I've fallen in love with Romwe after discovering it about a month ago although I am yet to purchase anything I'm itching to when my student loan comes through (priorities, I know!)
Parrots and Diamante Print Black Skirt // Themis Print Black Skirt // The Lion King Print Blue Skirt
When browsing their new in section yesterday I was instantly drawn to their little pop art collection (which features In The Car Print Skirt); I've noticed a few boldly printed skirts on their website before which have inspired this post. These statement skirts are real head-turners and I love the quirky but not over the top style they create! I love the prints on all of them but my favourite is definitely the In The Car Print Skirt which includes Lichenstein's famous 'In The Car' painting in the print. I've not been the biggest fan of cartoon prints that have lingered around for the past few months but love the more artistic nature of this skirt through the use of Lichenstein's iconic comic book style pop art. Romwe also have a Lichenstein bag which I posted about on my Fun Finds post.
I've quickly compiled two day-to-night looks featuring the Lichenstein skirt but I would style any of the skirts in a similar way. For a comfortable daytime look I've paired the skirt with an oversized top that I would tuck in slightly to draw more attention to the skirt's bold print and to create a more laid-back feel. The lime colour of the top and bright blue of the bag highlight certain tones of the skirt but don't over accentuate the bold colours (just about!). Transforming the outfit to night I opted for a comfy cami worn over the top of the skirt to tone the skirt down slightly and finished this look with essential black boots!
If the weather takes a turn for the worst I'd add a leather jacket to the day outfit and a blazer to the night.
